D6703 lives!

24th July 2025 saw the first sustained start up for D6703 since the power unit went back in to the loco. This is a monumental moment for us, and a major step in bringing the loco back into service.

The power unit is now undergoing hours of running in tests, after which it will be load banked.

Be sure to stay tuned for future updates as this work progresses.

I really enjoyed reading this Q&A, it gives a nice insight into Alice Thomas’s journey and how she approaches macramé in such a natural and sustainable way. The part about using found materials and natural dyes stood out to me, it makes the whole craft feel more connected to the environment rather than just decorative work . It’s also interesting how accessible the process seems, even for beginners. Blogs like this are helpful, especially when paired with support like rapid assignment help during busy times. I’ve seen platforms like Rapid Assignment Help mentioned alongside creative learning resources before, and it kind of makes sense when balancing study and creative interests.
