Description from Lineside Video Productions

A programme featuring the British Rail class 56 heavy freight locomotives filmed during the late 1980s and early 1990s. All 135 examples are seen in various colour schemes from BR Blue to Railfreight red-stripe and Trainload freight.

Filmed throughout the mid-1980s and early 1990s, many of the originial liveries are seen on a number of heavy freight workings including coal, oil, scrap, steel, fly-ash, stone and speedlink. The programme contains numerous sequences of the unmistakable 'scream' of their Ruston Paxman 16K3CT, 3250 horsepower engine on full power. All video material has been digitally re-mastered for the best possible enjoyment.
